Title: Time Domain Astronomy with ALeRCE broker: A close-up into the Machine Learning Tools
Abstract: Automatic Learning for Rapid Classification of Events (ALeRCE) is a Chilean-Led astronomical broker currently processing data from surveys such as the Zwicky Transient Facility (ZTF), in preparation for the upcoming Vera C. Rubin Observatory and its Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST). By harnessing the power of machine learning tools, ALeRCE has created a suite of data products that are currently publicly available and can be accessed through the ALeRCE’s APIs and platforms. In this talk, we delve into the technical details underpinning ALeRCE’s machine learning-driven processing pipeline. From stamp classifiers to light-curve classifiers and anomaly detectors, these tools pave the way for rapid event classification and in-depth analysis. Attendees will gain insight into the architecture and capabilities of these frameworks, along with practical guidance on accessing them through the ALeRCE framework.
