AstroAI Workshop 2026
The 2026 AstroAI Workshop will take place June 15-18, 2026.
AstroAI Workshop
We are thrilled to announce the AstroAI Workshop, an event to learn about the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in Astrophysics. When: June 15-18, 2026
Where: Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian (CfA), 60 Garden St., Cambridge, MA 02138
About the Workshop: The AstroAI Workshop is designed to foster an environment of learning, collaboration, and innovation. Over the course of four days, participants will engage in a series of lectures and discussions led by experts in the fields of AI/ML and astrophysics, hands on sessions, talks by early career scientists in the field, and networking events. This workshop is an opportunity for early career scientists to deepen their understanding of foundational AI/ML models for astrophysical research, and their potential in unraveling the mysteries of the universe.
Who Should Attend: The AstroAI Workshop is ideal for early career scientists, including graduate students, postdocs, and researchers in the early stages of their careers in astrophysics, computer science, and related fields. However, anyone with a keen interest in the application of AI/ML in astrophysics will find this workshop beneficial.
Invited speakers include:
- Berthy Feng (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, website)
- Siddharth Mishra-Sharma (Boston University, website)
- Others to be announced soon
Hands-on sessions: Participants will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on sessions where they can apply concepts to real-world astrophysical datasets. These sessions will be led by experienced instructors and will provide participants with practical experience in using AI/ML techniques for astrophysical research.
Networking opportunities: The workshop will include networking events where participants can connect with other attendees, share ideas, and explore potential collaborations. These events will provide a platform for participants to discuss their research interests and learn from each other.
Register: Please register here: https://www.etix.com/ticket/p/85803898/. We are offering an in-person registration option for $300 and a remote registration option for $25. The in-person registration includes access to all workshop activities, lunch each day of the workshop, an opening reception, and exclusive access to recorded invited and contributed talks and posters after the workshop is over.
